Frank Karczewski

Frank Karczewski, 449 S. Warren St., died in Memorial Hospital at 5:05 p.m. Friday after a day's illness. Born in Poland Nov. 11, 1876, he came to South Bend 33 years ago from that country. His wife, Pearl, died last Oct. 24. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Rose Kasprzak and Mrs. Helen Smith; two sons, Martin and Larry; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, all of South Bend. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the St. Joseph Funeral Chapel. The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday in St. Adalbert's Catholic Church with Very Rev. Msgr. Ignatius J. Gapcynski, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Polish Cemetery. Mr Karczewski was a member of the Guard of St. Stanislaus Society of St. Adalbert's Church.
