Lawrence E. Contat, 70 left this world January 1, 2022 to claim his mansion in the sky. Born October 3, 1951 to Gustave and Odessa Contat, who both preceded him in death, as well as two brothers and two sisters. His passion was church, piano, gospel music and the Mishawaka Cavemen. Surviving is his sister Opal Bufford Graves, his niece and caregiver Kristina “Teana” (Rod) Filson, along with nieces, nephews and cousins. Services for Lawrence will be on Thursday, January 6, at 1:00 p.m. at the Palmer Funeral Home - Bubb Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Officiating the services will be Pastor Mark Johnson and Pastor Charles Wiseman. Private burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
