Gas City- Robert V. May, 91, died Saturday, March 22, 2014 in his residence. He was born in South Bend, Indiana on February 17, 1923 to the late Vernon G. and S. Marie (Harkins) May. He married Amoura Jean Helm on February 5, 1944 and she preceded him in death on August 16, 1996. Robert previously worked at Studebaker in South bend before retiring from the Marion Anaconda. Survivors include children, Robert V. (Shirley) May, Jr., Kokomo, Michael May, Gas City, Richard May, Gas City, and Lamoura (Bill) Munse, Brownsburg; brothers, Clifford May, San Antonio, TX; sister, Doris Hoctel, Mishawaka; 7 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 11 am - 1 pm on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main Street, Gas City, Indiana with funeral service to immediately follow. Burial will be at 1 pm on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Indiana.
