SOUTH BEND - Thomas Sulentic, 82, of Barnes Street, died Tuesday in Memorial Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Mary; a daughter, Marsha Snyder of Granger; four sons, Thomas and David, both of South Bend, Steven of North Liberty and Craig of Minnesota; and a stepson, Dan Beauprez of Elkhart. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Christ the King Catholic Church. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a rosary will be said at 4:30 p.m.

Thomas Sulentic, 82, of South Bend, Ind., died Tuesday May 6, 2003 at Memorial Hospital of South Bend.
He was born November 8, 1920 in Lovilia to Michael and Ika Sulentic. He married Mary Getha Dec. 24, 1964. He had previously been employed with the former Uniroyal Corporation 1952 - 1969, and was a road salesman with John Morral and Company. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, where he served as a Eucharistic minister, was a lector, sang in the choir, and helped with Carrillo renewal. He had his own music ministry, performing as a clown in local nursing homes. He was also a member of the Valleyairs Barber Shop Chorus, Forever Learning and the Sulentic Brothers Band, and served in the United States Navy during WWII. He had a passion for music, song-writing and poetry. He loved his grandchildren and also enjoyed gardening and yard work. He is survived by his wife; children, Marsha (Dave) Snyder of Granger, Ind., Thomas Sulentic of South Bend, David Sulentic of South Bend, Steven (Donna) Sulentic of North Liberty, Ind., Craig (Kathy) Sulentic Burnsville, Minn. and Dan (Blinda) Bequprez of Elkhart, Ind.; grandchildren, Nicole, John David and Daniel Snyder, Levi, David, Desiree, Steve, Jr., Michael, Christina Faith, Sarah, Nathaniel and Rebecca Sulentic; great-grandchildren, Ariana Snyder and Noah, Emma, Isiah, Kala and Slate Sulentic; and two sisters, Katie Paveglio of Grayslake, Ill. and Ann Scieszinski of Albia. He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Liane Lori Snyder.
