Camilla “Dolly” Saros

Mishawaka-Camilla “Dolly” Saros, 86, passed away at home on Thursday, September 8, 2016. Dolly was born on April 13, 1930 in Mishawaka to Benjamin and Julianna (Rottiers) Versprille. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Irene VanLaecke, Elda Raszipovits, Rochelle “Toby” Kush, Marietta DeRycke and Evelyn DeVos and brother, Rene Rottiers. On March 29, 1947 she married Stephen M. “Greek” Saros. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1993. Surviving are her children, Stephen (Sandy) Saros Jr., Robert (Susan) Saros and Christine Briscoe all of Mishawaka; grandchildren, Sonya (Jeff) Glenn, Melissa (Bill Mason) Saros, Caitlyn Saros, Amy Saros, Lori (Mark) Stehlin, Gary C. Briscoe, Ryan (Wendy) Briscoe and Stephanie Briscoe; great grandchildren, Ryanna, Ryson, Wrylee Briscoe, Ava Stehlin and Malee Mason. Dolly worked for Uniroyal for 25 years in the fuel cell division, retiring in 1991. She was a member of St. Bavo Catholic Church, the BK Ladies Auxiliary and Uniroyal retirees. Dolly loved family gatherings, playing BINGO, going to the boat, playing Michigan Rummy with the girls. She will be remembered as always being a giving and caring person.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 12 from 4 to 8 p.m., in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, September 13 at 10 a.m., in St. Bavo Catholic Church. Rev. Vincent Joseph will officiate. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Get Wet for A Vet Inc., 505 S. 31st Street, South Bend, IN 46615.
