Marianne Nowakowski Was ... nee Bieliecki

Mrs Mary ann Was aged 88 one of the oldest living residents in St hedwig Roman Catholic Parish died at 8:35 pmWednesday evening in the home of her daughter Mrs. Josephine Dworecki, 824 West Dunham street following a weeks illness. She was born in Poland November 28 1847 and cametosouth Bend from that country 66 years ago. Surviving besides Mrs Dworecki is another daughter Mrs Mary Budzinski. a brother Peter Bielecki; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The body may be viewed in the Dworecki residence. The funeral will be held at 9:00 am Saturday morning from St hedwig Church with the Rev. Francis X Luzny,Pastor, chantingthe high reqiem mass. Burial will be in CedarGrove Cemetery, Notre Dame , IN . Mrs Was belonged to the Holy Rosary Society, St Hedwigs Womens Civic Club and the Apostleship of Prayer all of St hedwig Parish.
