Feb. 26, 1925 - Dec. 22, 2012 INDIANAPOLIS - Elizabeth "Betty" Danowski, 87, of Indianapolis, formerly of Granger, Indiana, passed away at 2:50 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 22, 2012) at Westside Village in Indianapolis. She was born Feb. 26, 1925, in South Bend, to George & Barbara (Kertiz) Bagarus. On October 4, 1952, in South Bend, she married Joseph A. Danowski. He preceded her in death on Jan. 9, 2000, in South Bend. Surviving are a daughter, Diana (Peter Finney) McGuire of Indianapolis; 1 granddaughter, Erin (Eric) Lee, and 2 grandsons, Patrick & Shawn McGuire, all of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by a brother, George Bagarus; and 4 sisters, Mary Heyde, Gizella Squadroni, Helen Bloom and Sister Mary Constance. Betty was formerly employed as a secretary at Bendix and was most recently a homemaker. She attended St. Pius X Catholic Church and was a member of the Women's Society of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She also was a member of 4 Lakes Country Club and the Women of the Moose. Betty enjoyed playing bridge, cooking and golfing. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 29, 2012) at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 52553 Fir Road, Granger, IN. Monsignor William Schooler will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 10-11 Sat. at the church. Burial will take place at a later date at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park Cemetery in Granger. Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home, Osceola, is entrusted with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association .
