Lucille Betty Mnichowski
May 30, 1921 - Jan. 16, 2013
SOUTH BEND - Lucille Betty Mnichowski, 91 years young, of Colony Drive, South Bend, passed away peacefully at Sterling House, South Bend, comforted by her loving daughter, Debbie. She was born on May 30th, 1921, in Marion, Indiana, to Albert and Ruth Clark, who preceded her in death. She was married to Robert F. Mnichowski for 64 years, until his death. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Brown of Old Hickory, Tennessee; and two grandsons, Jeffrey S. Brown of Arlington, Virginia, and Matthew E. Brown of Boulder, Colorado. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Granger. Lucille was a Tapper with the Golden Troubadours of South Bend. She was the owner/operator of Ski's Beauty Salon on Calvert Street, South Bend, until her retirement. Her daughter has requested memorial contributions be made to the Center for Hospice Care, South Bend, in lieu of flowers. Private Catholic graveside services were held for Lucille, with burial at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, with Fr. Terry Coonan officiating. Her daughter, Debbie, would like to thank all of Lucille's friends, neighbors and the Sterling House staff of South Bend, IN, for the support and care given to Lucille during her brief illness. She will be missed by all; no one will fill her tap shoes. Bubb Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
