John J. Smartz
Services for John J. Smartz, 2818 Hartzer St., who died Tuesday, will be in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Pallbears will be Sylvester Radecki, Chester Muszynski, Joseph Gawrysiak, Emery Chick, John Putek and Walter Chrobot. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today in the St. Joseph Funeral Home by Rev. Joseph Jacobs, pastor of St. John the Baptist Church. Mr. Smartz was a member of the West Side Democratic Club and Pulaski Post 357, American Legion. Funeral Note published in the South Bend Tribune; Thursday, March 18, 1965.
