Elsie Maggioli
Aug. 27, 1915 - June 26, 2013
MISHAWAKA - Elsie passed away Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at Healthwin Specialized Care. Mrs. Maggioli was born in Mishawaka, on August 27, 1915. On January 16, 1937 at St. Bavo's Catholic Church she married Victor Maggioli. They were married for 59 years and he passed away in 1996. Elsie is survived by daughter, Janice (Joseph) Goossens; two sons, Dennis (Veronica) Maggioli and Keith (Pam) Maggioli; nine grandchildren, Karen Radde, Gregg Maggioli, Kevin Maggioli, Jeff Maggioli, Christiana Parsons, Jamie Donchess, Jackie Noll, Joel Goossens and Nicco Maggioli; 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Her brothers, Leon and Ray Maenhout and sister, Cecilia (Thornton) preceded her in death. Elsie worked in the kitchen at Marian High School for a number of years before her retirement. She also was a volunteer for many years for the national conference on Medjugorje. Elsie was a lifelong member of St. Bavo Catholic Church. A special thanks to Dr. James Reidy and to the staff at Healthwin Specialized Care for their excellent care. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 28 at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th St., Mishawaka. Wake prayers will be recited at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 29 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka with Rev. Barry England officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Bavo Catholic Church, 511 W. 7th Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544.
