Angela “Angie” Zajac, 59, passed away at Elkhart Center for Hospice on the afternoon of Friday, January 29, 2021, after battling an extended illness. Angie was born on May 28, 1961 in Oxford, OH. Angie was a resident of Miamisburg, OH for 24 years before relocating to Appleton, WI and later, Osceola, IN. On October 30, 2004, in South Bend, IN, Angie was united in marriage to Mr. Kevin Zajac, who survives. She was employed as a CPA/Controller for 35 years, working for local companies and non-profits, as well as herself, before retiring on April 16, 2019. Angie loved being outdoors, especially the Colorado Rockies. She was an avid gardener and landscaper, enjoyed going on walks, bird-watching and planting. In 1979, she traveled to Bolivia as a representative of her Rotary Club. Most of all, she cherished time she got to spend with her friends and loved ones. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Angie is survived by her husband, Kevin Zajac of Osceola; daughters Casey Farnsworth and Alexis (Wyatt) Mount; mother Phyllis (Gollihugh) Githens of Miamisburg, OH; a sister, Leslie Githens; her beloved pets, Bailey the dog and Piper the cat; as well as a host of extended family members and friends. Angie was preceded in death by her father, Carl L. Githens. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 1:30 PM at St. Piux X Catholic Church, 52553 Fir Rd, Granger, IN 46530. Friends may call on the family for visitation from 12:30 PM until service time at the church. A livestream will be available at www.stpius.net or facebook.com/StPiusGranger.
