SOUTH BEND - Jane L. Robinson, 76, passed away on Monday, March 17th, in her residence. Jane was born on August 1, 1931, in South Bend, to the late Leo and Thelma (Irvin) Szmanda. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Joan Burger, and by a brother, Tom Szmanda. On November 24, 1949, in New Carlisle, she married Glen Robinson, who survives along with their three children, Lori (Howard) Rothstein of Mundelein, IL, Lea Anne (Robert) Einterz of Zionsville, IN, and Eric (Teresa) Robinson of South Bend; 13 grandchildren; two sisters, Jean (Bill) Cybulski and Sandy (Ervin) Paprocki, both of South Bend; and three brothers, Jim (Gloria) Szmanda, Jack (Dolores) Szmanda and Gary (Pat) Szmanda, all of South Bend. Jane retired in 1990 from First Source Bank as a teller. She was a member of Lydick United Methodist Church, and was a 4-H leader in Warren Township for many years. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, March 21, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend. A funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday, March 22, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, South Bend.
