From the SOUTH BEND (IN) TRIBUNE, January 18, 1956:

SOUTH BEND - Margaret Spagnolo, 69, 1402 Lincoln Way West, died at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Hospital after an illness on six months. Her husband, John, a retired tailor, died last year. Born in Prezza, Italy, Jan. 5, 1887, she came here in 1925 from Chicago. Surviving are three sons, Albert, Edward and Nicholas; three daughters, Mrs. Christine Marshman, Mrs. Rose Richart, and Mrs. Josie Pruett, all of South Bend; 24 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Josephine Pago, Mrs. Susie Nappi, and Mrs. Marie Nigro, all of Chicago; and a brother, Anthony Iorri, Kenosha, Wis. She was a member of Chapter 6 auxiliary, Disabled American Veterans, and a gold star mother. --
Editor: Her son John Jr. was killed in action at Anzio Beach in Italy.
