JEAN C. LAWRENCE HIGHLAND, IN Jean C. Lawrence, age 93, of Highland, IN, formerly of South Chicago and the East Side of Chicago, passed away at her home on Saturday March 31, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her children: Leonard (Marianne) Blase, Lorraine Wicks, Ronald (Mary) Blase, and Lynn (Andrew) DaCorte; eight grandchildren: Jim Blase, Jacki Osenkarski, Dan Blase, Mark Toth, Kathy Kearns, Felicia Taft, Eric Blase, and Alex DaCorte; 14 great grandchildren; one brother, Erwin Mezydlo; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Alex; brother, Stanley A. Mezydlo; one sister Elizabeth Huda; and parents: Stanley B. and Josephine Mezydlo. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 5 ,2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Rd. (two blocks south of Ridge Rd.) Highland, IN. Burial Memory Lane Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Jean was the best caring mother. She will be dearly missed.
