SOUTH BEND - George S. Chrustowski, 84, of S. Carlisle Street, died at 8:58 p.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Medical Center after an illness. Mr. Chrustowski retired from the Studebaker Corp. and Torrington Co. He was born April 7, 1909, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. He is survived by a sister, Valentine ``Violet'' Frankiewicz of South Bend; and three brothers, Leo and Bert, both of South Bend, and Chester of Mishawaka. He was a member of St. Adalbert's Catholic Church, St. Joseph Young Men's Society, and was a veteran of World War II.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Resurrection Gardens Mausoleum of St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurses Association or the church.
