. SOUTH BEND - Edward F. Budny, 59, of 4030 W. Washington St., died about 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Hospital of natural causes. Mr. Budny was a former employee of M.B. Skinner Co. and retired from the Bendix Corp. He was born April 4, 1931, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. On Nov. 25, 1950, in South Bend, he married Lucille B. Mejer, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Kathleen Vargo of South Bend; three sons, Terry L. of Geneva, Fla., Eric J. of LaPorte, and Aaron J. at home; three grandchildren and two sisters, Mary Alice Niezgodzki and Barbara Horvath, both of South Bend. . Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Adalbert's Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 7 p.m. The South Bend Area Genealogical Society Marriage Record Index shows an entry for Edward Frank Budny & Lucille Bernice Mejer on 25 NOV 1950.
