NEW CARLISLE - Nancy Lynn Romanek, 56, of New Carlisle, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017. She was born on February 13, 1961, in South Holland, IL, to the late Fred and Irene Romanek. Nancy is survived by her companion of 12 years, Kevin Laureys of New Carlisle; two brothers, Fred (Julie) Romanek and their daughter, Elizabeth of Miami, FL and Ron Romanek of Rosendale, WI and his four children, PJ, Tim, Dan and Kathy and their families; and by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Nancy's passion in life was for animals. She dedicated her life's work and time as a driven dog trainer. She was very active in AKC. She will be dearly missed. A memorial visitation will be held from 10 to 2 p.m. EST Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 201 S. Filbert St., New Carlisle. A memorial service for Nancy will follow at 2 p.m. EST in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA at www.spcai.org.
