ELKHART - Theresa G. Cappelletti, 88, died in South Bend on Wednesday, Jan. 2. She was born May 16, 1919, to James and Carmela (Bibbo) Petriella. She married Anthony J. Cappelletti on September 25, 1938, in Elkhart. He preceded her in death on August 2, 1972. Surviving are two sons, David A. and Gary J. Cappelletti, both of Elkhart; three grandchildren; four sisters, Jane Zimmer of Niles, Francs Osowski of Elkhart, Edith Hoffman of Houston, TX and Rose DeFea of South Dakota; and a brother, George F. (Sanita) Petriella of Flushing, MI. A sister, Mary Noggle; and two brothers, Anthony and Joseph Petriella preceded her in death. Mrs. Cappelletti was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church and St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday in Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home, 403 West Franklin Street, Elkhart, where there will be a vigil service at 3:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, with the Reverend William Sullivan officiating. Interment will be at St. Vincent's Cemetery, Elkhart. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church or to the charity of one's choice.
