SOUTH BEND - Services for Gertrude Wieczorek, 88, of West Sample Street, who died at 5:05 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph's Medical Center, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Casimir's Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a combined rosary will be said at 4:30 p.m. by Senior Citizens and the parish. Mrs. Wieczorek retired from Enroe Shirt Co. She was born Oct. 22, 1907, in South Bend. On Oct. 25, 1925, in South Bend, as Gertrude Dombek, she married Frank Wieczorek. He died in 1947. She is survived by two sons, Irvin Wieczorek and Eddie Knight, both of South Bend; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Sophie Wieczorek and Rita Trzop, both of South Bend. Two sons, Leo and Stanley, preceded her in death. She was a member of Polish Women's Alliance Group 129, St. Ann Society, Senior Citizens, and Altar and Rosary Society, all of the church.
