GRANGER - Kenneth J. Sobczak, 74, of Granger, IN, passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018 in his home, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
He was born to the late Anthony and Lillian Sobczak in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong area resident. Ken retired from Key Bank, the former St. Joseph Bank. Ken is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Rita; three children, Leanne (James) Mazurek of Granger, IN, Lori (Scott) Selvey of Naperville, IL, and Greg (Nicole) Sobczak of Naperville, IL; six grandchildren; and two brothers, Richard Sobczak of Fort Wayne, IN and Gerald (Lori) Sobczak of Noblesville, IN. Ken was a member of St. Piux X Parish in Granger, IN, where he was involved with the Finance Committee before his retirement. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 52553 Fir Road, Granger, IN, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend, IN at a later date.
