Mishawaka - Janice Ellen Taberski, 73, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021. Janice was born March 18, 1948 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Ervin and Margaret (Ewald) Grzesk. Janice married her loving husband Edward Taberski on December 6, 1969, he preceded her in death on December 24, 2019. Left to cherish the memory of Janice is her brother-in-law, Thomas (Victoria) Taberski. Janice was a Civilian Employee of the South Bend Police Department for 34 years and received the South Bend Gold Key. She loved animals, especially dogs. Janice volunteered for the Humane Society, and knitted little blankets for dogs there and jackets for the Great Danes. Janice was very talented, she enjoyed knitting and making crafts, especially holiday crafts and bird houses. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, you could count on beautiful decorations indoors and outside, as well as delicious food and desserts. Per Janice’s wishes, no services will be held. ST.
