SOUTH BEND - Casimir Joseph Polkowski Jr., age 81, died peacefully on November 30th, 2014. He was born on a blizzard day in Massachusetts, March 6th, 1933, to Casimir J. and Susan Polkowski. His sister, Violet Goldman of Del Ray Beach, Florida, and his daughter, Emily of South Bend, Indiana, survives Cas. He was an Air Force veteran with an honorable discharge. Cas was a passionate and talented jazz pianist who played with a group of musicians and at times solo for many years. He was a great storyteller and knew how to make people laugh with his witty jokes and colorful sense of humor. He loved people and will be deeply missed by his family, friends and neighbors.
