Patranella Kopchinski, 95, of Michigan City passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Saint Anthony Memorial Health Centers. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Queen of All Saints Church with Rev. Kevin Huber officiating. Burial will follow in Saint Stanislaus Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Friday from 9:15 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. at Queen of All Saints Church. Root Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Patranella was born December 16, 1915 in New Carlisle, IN to the late John A. and Helen (Pekofski) Miller. On June 10, 1939 in Rolling Prairie she married Clement Kopchinski who passed away on Decembere 10, 1984. Surviving are two daughters: Georgia (Robert) Slabaugh of Middlebury, IN and Suzanne Kopchinski of Michigan City; one son: James Kopchinski of Michigan City; three grandchildren: Stephanie (Ron) Gerber, Andrea Slabaugh and Gavin (Cori) Kopchinski; three great-grandchildren; one sister: Augustina Zgoda of Arlington Heights, IL; and one brother: Frank Miller of New Carlisle, IN. Preceding her in death is one granddaughter: Erika Slabaugh and six brothers and sisters.She was a lab aide working for Saint Anthony Hospital retiring after many years of service. She was a member of Queen of All Saints Church and Queen of All Saints Rosary Sodality. Memorials may be made to Queen of All Saints Building Fund, Share Foundation for the Handicapped or Hospice.
