Edward Frank Zbrzezny, 60, of 17474 E. Ireland Road, died at 11:21 p.m. Saturday in St. Joseph’s Medical Center. Mr. Zbrzezny was employed at South Bend Lathe Co. as an electrician. Born June 4, 1924, in South Bend, he was a lifetime area resident. On Oct. 7, 1972, in South Bend, he married Bernadine Walorski, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Cheryl Johns of Granger; a son, Dale E. Zbrzezny of Mishawaka; two step-daughters, Sandra Burger and Patty Linetty, both of South Bend; a stepson, Dan Hartwick of Fairfax, Va; 12 grandchildren; and two sisters, Adeline Ciesielski of South Bend and Bernadine Lupa of Eules, Texas. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Casimir’s Catholic Church and burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the church, Army and Navy Union 146, ZB Falcons Nest 80, American Legion Pulaski Post 357, Eagles Lodge of Mishawaka and the South Bend Lathe Co. Credit Union.
