Services for Mrs. Verna S. Krojniewski, 73, of 24575 Grant, who died Tuesday at St Josephs Medical Center after suffering an apparent heart attack, will be at 10am Saturday at St Stanislaus Catholic Church. Rev. Stephen J. Sedlock, CSC, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9pm Thursday and Friday in the St Joseph Funeral Home, where the Apostleship of Prayer will recite the rosary at 7:30pm Thursday. The Harvest Houses of ST Stanislaus and St Adalberts will recite the rosary at 2pm Friday in the funeral home. A combined rosary will be recited at 7:30pm Friday by the parish and Group 305 Polish Womens Alliance. She was a member of all thee groups, as well as the Confraternity of the Holy Rosary, the Goodwill Club, and the Parish Council, all of St Stanislaus Church; Council 11, Polish Womens Alliance; and Unit 357, American Legion Auxiliary. She was a former employee of the Holloway House Restaurant. She was born on January 8, 1908, in South Bend, and had lived here all her life. On August 19, 1929, in South Bend, she married Walter E. Krojniewski, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Delores Cukrowicz of South Bend and Mrs. JoAnn Chrapliwy of Niles; a son Arthur of South Bend; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Helen Bogunia of South Bend.
