Mishawaka - Marcia M Surgeon, 84, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. Marcia was born on September 16, 1938 in South Bend to the late John L. and Helen A. Fabiszak. On May 07, 1960, Marcia married the love of her life, Robert D. Surgeon, he preceded her in death on March 14, 1995. Marcia is also preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Bill McFarlane. Left to cherish Marcia’s memory is her daughter, Patty (Gary) Kondek: grandchildren, Michelle Kondek, Kristin Kondek, Nolan Kondek, James Surgeon, and Dan Surgeon; great-grandchildren, Aiden Meyer, Lincoln Matheson, and Paige & Drake Surgeon; sisters, Carol McFarlane and Kathy (Bob) Hammond, and brother, Ron Fabiszak. Marcia worked for UniRoyal in her earlier years, then worked for many years at the University of Notre Dame until retiring. She enjoyed spending time with the new friends she made over the past few years at Hellenic Senior Living in Mishawaka. Marcia loved the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They brought her the most joy in life. Per Marcia’s wishes, no services will be held at this time. She will be buried next to her husband and parents in St. Joseph Cemetery.
