Ralph T. "Tom" Sollitt, 59, a lifelong resident of South Bend, passed away at 7:05 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2012 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Tom was born on September 30, 1952 in South Bend to the late Ralph B. and Joanne L. (Bishop) Sollitt. On April 30, 1988 in South Bend, he married the former Nancy L. Kletka.

Along with his wife, Nancy, survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Deborah Kletka of Granger. Tom enjoyed gardening, building model airplanes and helicopters, and his ham radio. He retired from the former Sollitt Construction Company. Friends may visit with the family from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2012 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend. There will be no funeral service. Per Tom's request, cremation will follow the visitation. Contributions in memory of Ralph T. "Tom" Sollitt may be donated to the River Bend Cancer Society, 919 E. Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, IN 46617.
