SOUTH BEND - Arthur Guzowski died Thursday at home. Survivors include his wife, Beryl; their three sons, Eric Jelderks, David (Patty) Guzowski, and Kim (Leslie) Guzowski, who preceded him in death on April 30, 2007; brother, Daniel (Addie) Guzowski; his two sons, Gordon Stahl and Leonard Stahl. Visitation is 4-8pm Sunday in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road. Visitation also 9-10 am Monday in Hilltop Lutheran Church with Funeral Services beginning at 10 am. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. www.sjfh.net

Arthur L. Guzowski

SOUTH BEND - Arthur L. Guzowski, 78, passed away at 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2010, in his home with his family by his side. Arthur was born on October 17, 1931, in South Bend, to the late Stephen and Regina (Winnicki) Guzowski. On April 30, 1960, he married Beryl N. (Bartell) Guzowski, who survives. They had three sons, Eric Jelderks of Jones, MI, David (Patty) Guzowski of South Bend and Kim (Leslie) Guzowski, who preceded him in death on April 30, 2007; three grandchildren, Krystal and Ailey Kerns and Joshua Guzowski; and by his brother, Daniel (Addie) Guzowski of South Bend. He is also survived by his two sons, Gordon Stahl and Leonard Stahl; granddaughter, Courtney Stahl; and great-granddaughter, Haley Stahl, all of WI. Art was a member of VFW 357 and the South Bend Pigeon Club. He enjoyed making bird houses and liked working in the garage making things. He also enjoyed classic cars, going on cruises and gambling. Art and Beryl lived in the house that Art built for over 40 years where he loved spending time with his family. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, June 27, 2010, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road. Family and friends may gather in Hilltop Lutheran Church from 9 to 10 a.m. on Monday, June 28, 2010, for visitation. A funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637; or to South Bend Animal Care and Control, 105 S. Olive St., South Bend, IN 46619. For those who are unable to attend the funeral service, condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
