MISHAWAKA, IN - Harry E. Badowski, 98, of Mishawaka, died on November 8, 2018 in South Bend, Indiana. He was born on January 25, 1920 in South Bend to Nicholas and Anna Badowski. Harry enlisted into the United States Army and served his country honorably from November of 1941 through September of 1945. On October 5, 1946, Harry married Rose Kozuch and she preceded him in death on June 17, 1992. Harry worked for Studebaker and then for South Bend Range, where he made commercial ranges. He was a member of the Polish National Alliance, American Legion Post 357, and he enjoyed all sports, Notre Dame, Big Band music, dancing, and winters in Florida. He is survived by his children, Christine J. Badowski of South Bend and Kenneth E. (Genelle Gappa) Badowski of Mishawaka; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Harry was preceded in death by his parents; the love of his life for 46 years, Rose; and 12 siblings. Friends and family will be received on Friday, November 16, 2018 from 12-2 PM with a Funeral Service in Harry's honor beginning at 2 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, Indiana 46561. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to American Legion Post 357, 5414 West Sample, South Bend, IN 46619.
