SOUTH BEND - Carol M. Gadacz, 95, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2013, in the Sterling House. Carol was born in South Bend July 28, 1918, to the late Casmir and Bella (Prinkowski) Beczkiewicz. Survivors include her sons, Gerald R. Gadacz of North Liberty and Thomas R. (Judith) Gadacz of Saint Petersburg, FL; brother, Edward Beczkiewicz of South Bend; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Carol was a secretary with the Portage Manor Retirement Facility, and was a parishioner of St. Casimir Catholic Church. She was the President of the Grandmothers Club, and a member of the Daughters of Isabella. Carol loved travelling with her sister Florence. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A private family service will be held at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. is assisting the family.
