On 4 Oct 1938 she wed Edward J Hess who survives with 2 daughters: Mrs Carolyn A Dosmann of Littleton Colorado, Mrs Helen madick of SBd, 3 sons, Thomas E Hess of Granger, John M and Chrsitopher A Hess, both of So Bend; 15 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Mrs Hildegarde Meredith of
Tampa Fla & Mrs Helen Butler of Elgin Ill.

Dolores M. Hess

Dolores M. Hess, 75, of South Bend, Ind., died at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3, following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Hess was born on June 12, 1921, to Lillian (Niezgodski) and Martin F. Kurdys, who both preceded her in death. She was a lifetime South Bend resident. On Oct. 4, 1938, in South Bend as Dolores M. Kurdys, she married Edward J. Hess, who survives. She is also survived by two daughters, Carolyn A. Dosmann of Littleton, Colo., and Helen Madick of South Bend; three sons, Thomas E. Hess of Granger, Ind., and John M. Hess and Christopher A. Hess, both of South Bend; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and by two sisters, Hildegarde Meredith of Tampa, Fla., and Helen Butler of Elgin, Ill. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday in Holy Cross Catholic Church, where she was a member, with Rev. Michael Belinski, CSC, officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William Street, where a Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
