South Bend - Vicki J. Higginbotham, "Mama Vicki", 74, passed away peacefully at home with her children by her side on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. Vicki was born August 7, 1947 in South Bend, to the late John and Marjorie (Jones) Myers. Vicki married Larry Higginbotham on April 27, 1985, who preceded her in death on September 8, 1995. She was also preceded by her sister, Marde Danielowicz. Left to cherish the memory of Vicki are her children, Tim (Robin) Mann, Kim Mann, Tina (Michael J.) Szymanski, and Joe Higginbotham; grandchildren, Michelle Szymanski, Casey Szymanski, Jack Szymanski, Hannah Mann, and Alycia Mann; great-grandchildren; brothers, Brent (Sharon) Myers, Randy (Patty) Myers, Denny Myers; several nieces and nephews; and her Chain-O-Lakes family. Vicki was a member of Chain-O-Lakes, and Calvary Baptist Church. She was a faithful woman of God who enjoyed spreading His word to others. Her beautiful spirit was contagious, offering love and gifts to whomever crossed her path. Everyone who knew "Mama" loved her. Visitation will be 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, Monday, December 20, 2021 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. with a Funeral Service to begin at 1:00 pm. A Private Family Burial will follow. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
