NEW CARLISLE - NanJean Mae Fowler, 84, of New Carlisle, Indiana, (formerly of South Bend), passed away Friday, August 30, 2013. She was born November 3, 1928 in Elgin, Illinois to Fred & Edna (Merritt) Huske. NanJean was a Nanny for several years.
NanJean is survived by her children, Connie S. (William) Tomaszewski of South Bend, Indiana; sons, Dennis Karczewski of Augusta, Georgia, Bruce Bennett of South Bend, Indiana, and Randall (Lisa) Fowler of Norfolk, Virginia; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Cletus (Martha) Huske of Geneva, Illinois, & LeRoy (Ann) Huske of Flat Rock, North Carolina. A sister, Carol Lynn Huske died shortly after birth. Visitation is 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2013 in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana. Funeral service is 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2013, in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Indiana.
