South Bend News-Times, May 31, 1922, p. 2:
Mrs. Appolina Laskowski, 1317 Liston av., 80 years old, a resident of South Bend for a half century, died at her home yesterday morning. Death is attributed to heart trouble and complications. She had been ill about four weeks. Mrs. Laskowski was born in Poland Feb. 9, 1842, and came to South Bend immediately upon her arrival in this country. She is survived by Nicholas Laskowski, a son, a member of the South Bend police force, and two daughters, Mrs. Appolina Pilarski and Josephine Laskowski, both of this city. The funeral will be held at St. Stanislaus church Saturday morning, Rev. Roman Marchiniak will officiate. Burial will be held in Cedar Grove cemetery.
