MISHAWAKA - Agnes H. Brainerd, 85, formerly of Mishawaka, died Sunday morning, January 11, 2009, in Golden Living Center, Elkhart. She was born December 7, 1923, in South Bend, to Michael and Helen (Nonakowski) Pilarski. On March 2, 1946, in South Bend, she married George C. Brainerd, who preceded her in death on November 25, 1995. She was also preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters. Surviving are two daughters, Cathy (John) Switalski of White Pigeon, MI, and Diane Brainerd of Elkhart; a son, George C. Brainerd Jr. of Osceola; four grandchildren, Josh Brainerd, April Drudge, Jason Switalski and Casey Brainerd; and two great-grandsons, Bryce and
Brayden Drudge. Agnes was a member of Sacred Heart Parish. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:30 p.m. today, January 13, in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the Notre Dame campus.
