Final Rites Held For Paul Dee Tues.: World War Veteran

Funeral services for Paul Dee who died Saturday in South Bend, Indiana, after a short illness, were held Tuesday morning in St. Patrick's Catholic church. The Rev. Thomas O Brien officiated and burial was made in the Rochelle Catholic cemetery. Paul Dee was born in Rochelle on June 17, 1892 the son of the late John and Bridget Dee. He attended the Rochelle grade and high schools and went overseas to fight in the World War with the 33rd division. He was wounded overseas and returned to Rochelle after the Armistice. In 1918 he went to Toledo and then to South Bend where he went into business residing there until his death on Saturday, May 24. Death was due to pneumonia. Surviving are his widow, Mary; twin daughters, Mary and Helen; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Kuelgen, Rochelle and Jane Lindsley, Chicago and three brothers, Steven, Rochelle, Jack, Chicago and Harry at Springfield.
