Stephanie Ann Steinke, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022 surrounded by her family. Stephanie was born December 19, 1986 in South Bend to the late Edward and Lois (Kovacsics) Steinke. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Steve & Ann Kovacsics and Edward & Clementine (Zapalski) Steinke; aunt, Diane Steinke; and cousin, Justin Jachimiak. Left to cherish the memory of Stephanie are her sisters, Gena (Travis) Steinke Kelly of Cassopolis, MI, and Heather L. (Neil) Fryman of South Bend, IN; brother, Michael A Steinke of South Bend, IN; nephews, Chase and Phoenix Kelly; nieces, Mariah Steinke, Adalynn and Lucy Fryman; aunt, Kathleen Jachimiak; and cousins, Jace Jachimiak and Teresa Radakovich. Stephanie enjoyed attending Chiara Home on a weekly basis as well as working for St. Mary’s and Notre Dame through an internship for school. She enjoyed therapeutic horseback riding so much that she volunteered at Reigns of Life. Stephanie loved music, watching movies, playing with her dolls, and lounging around the pool. She was a family person who loved her nieces and nephews very much. She enjoyed the last few years getting to play with the youngest niece, Lucy. Stephanie was a huge jokester, always trying to scare you and make you laugh, which is how she earned her nicknames of Bug, Boo, and BoBo. She carried both her mom and dad in her personality. Stephanie was the backbone and the strongest of the family, she did not allow her illness to take over her life. Stephanie lived every day to the fullest, making the best of every situation. She will truly be missed by many. Visitation for Stephanie will be Monday, October 3, 2022 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd.
