SOUTH BEND - Peter C. Kwiatkowski, 83, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at his home. Peter was born July 19, 1930, in South Bend, to the late Peter and Mary Kwiatkowski. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Edward, Clem, Walter, Charles, Raymond, John and Joseph Kwiatkowski; and a sister, Christine Kwiatkowski. Survivors of Peter include his brothers, Stanley and Robert Kwiatkowski, both of South Bend. Peter was a machinist for many years. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a parishioner of St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Peter was a member of the American Legion Post #357, VFW 3194 & 9820, PNA 83, and the Chain of Lakes and Westside Conservation Clubs. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling, watching Notre Dame sports, Chicago Bears and the Cubs. Visitation for Peter will be 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, Tuesday, March 18, 2014, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., where a Rosary will be prayed at 1:00 pm. A funeral ceremony will be celebrated at 2:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be at St Joseph Cemetery.
