Esther Pritz, 83, of Mishawaka, passed away on Friday September 30, 2022 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on November 24, 1938 in Chicago, IL to Harold and Ruth (Werkmeister) Westendorf. She married Kenneth Pritz on August 19, 1961. He preceded her in death on October 16, 1984. Esther is survived by her daughter, Susan (Charles) Kebsch; her sons, David (Monica) Pritz and Steven (Cari) Pritz; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers, Russell (Jan) Westendorf and Harold (Marilyn) Westendorf. Mrs. Pritz retired from the P-H-M School System after over 30 years of service. She was a member of Osceola United Methodist Church and volunteered her time with many Women's Auxiliary activities. She participated in the Relay For Life and won the American Cancer Society Volunteer of the Year Award in 2003-2004. She was a lover of the arts, especially seeing plays with friends and family. Favorite past times included reading and flower gardening. Her home was always decorated for each season and holiday, Christmas time being her favorite. Spending time with her children and grandchildren was the joy of her life. Friends may visit with the family from 1-3 and 5-7 PM Wednesday Oct. 5, 2022 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A funeral service in her honor will be held Thursday Oct. 6, 2022 at Osceola United Methodist Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be directed to Riley's Hospital for Children or Osceola United Methodist Church.
