SOUTH BEND - Monica S. Bogunia, 64, passed away at 1:00pm Sunday, December 18, 2016 in St. Joseph Regional Med Center. Monica was born on December 24, 1951 in South Bend to Casimir and Theresa (Jeziorski) Bogunia. She retired from RACO in 2001 where she was employed for 29 years. She enjoyed casinos, bingo, bowling and QVC. Monica was preceded in death by her parents, brother Casimir Bogunia, nephew Mark Bogunia and beloved dog Zoe. Surviving are a daughter Jeanne' (Daniel Hilton) Bogunia of Mary Esther, FL, two grandchildren Hailey and Dylan, brother Tom (Jodi) Bogunia of Lakeville, sister-in-law Julia Bogunia of South Bend and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend special thanks to Heartland Hospice and St. Joseph Med Center for their care of Monica. Memorial services will be celebrated at 5:00pm Wednesday, December 21, 2016 in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue. Family and friends may gather from 3:00 pm until services in the funeral home. Private burial will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice.
