SOUTH BEND - Kyle M. Belstra, 25, of Thornton, CO, formerly of South Bend, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 12, 2017, in Weare, NH. He was born on August 7, 1992, in South Bend. Kyle is survived by his mother, Tricia Belstra of Thornton, CO; his father, Ronald H. Belstra of Carlton, NM; his sister, Joana Belstra of Thornton, CO; maternal grandparents, Jim and Georgette Flowers of South Bend, Patrick J. and Polly Miller, Sr. of South Bend; paternal grandmother, Carolyn Belstra of Demott, IN; three aunts, Deborah (John) Foster of Edwardsburg, MI, Sarah Brown of Indianapolis, IN, and Karen Belstra of Chicago, IL; one uncle, Patrick J. Miller, Jr. of South Bend; and by several cousins. Kyle was a 2015 graduate of Colorado State State University, 2017 graduate of Georgetown University, where he received his Master's degree, and an avid sports fan, who played soccer and rooted for Notre Dame football, the Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Cubs. He had been recently employed by the front office of the Washington Redskins. A memorial service for Kyle will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 19, 2017, at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr., South Bend, where friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the service. Committal services will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
