Dane M. Divjak, 57, residing in Granger, IN, passed away at 1:20 am Saturday, January 5, 2013 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. He was born on September 10, 1955 in South Bend to the late George E. Divjak and JoAnn B. (Beronja) Divjak, who survives. He remained a lifelong area resident. In addition to his mother, JoAnn of Granger, Dane is survived by two brothers, George Divjak and Robert B. (Jody) Divjak, both of Granger; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and uncles, Mike (Evelyn) Berich of Milwaukee, WI, Branko (Joann) Beronja of Naples, FL, Larry Beronja, also of Naples, FL and Donald (Marilyn) Shafchuk of Merrillville, IN. Dane's life was an inspiration to many, not with words, but how he lived his life. He …Friends may visit with the Divjak family from noon until 1:00 pm Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the Saints Peter & Paul Serbian Orthodox Church, 59250 Keria Trail, South Bend, IN 46614 followed by a private funeral service at 1:00 pm. Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery, South Bend. Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Dane may be given to the Aleksa Shantich Choir, c/o Saints Peter & Paul Serbian Orthodox Church, the Serbian Orthodox Monastery of the Nativity of the Mother of God, 32787 Early Road, New Carlisle, IN 46652 or to Saints Peter & Paul Serbian Orthodox Church.
