SOUTH BEND - Stanley H. Zablocki, 89, passed away at 7:30 pm, Thursday, February 21, 2013 in the Milton Home. Stanley was born January 23, 1924 in South Bend to the late Stanley and Agnes (Malkowski) Zablocki. Stanley is also preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Zablocki. Stanley married his loving spouse, Rita Grzezinski on September 27, 1947. She survives along with his children, Michael of Highlands Ranch, CO, Ralph of Three Rivers, MI, Philip of Pleasant, CA, and Carl of Carver, MN. Stanley and Rita have five grandsons, two granddaughters, and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brother-in-law, Joseph (Lillian) Grzezinski of Indianapolis; and nieces, Becky Kuczmanski of Granger and Ruthie of South Bend. Stanley honorably served his country in the United States Navy during World War II on a submarine chaser as a Motor Machinist 1st Class, and earned three Bronze Stars for serving under enemy fire in combat operations in the Pacific. Stanley retired from the PNA #83 Bowling Lanes after 20 years of service as Lane Manager; and he was a parishioner of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. Most of all, Stanley loved his sons and their families dearly. A Christian Burial ceremony for Stanley will be 1:00 pm Sunday, February 24, 2013 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
