Anna M. Zakrzewski, 85, formerly of Locust Road, South Bend IN, passed away after an illness at 11:25am on Wednesday, November 18, in Winchester Hospital, Winchester MA. She was born on January 14, 1913, in South Bend, to Joseph and Mary (Kumor) Lenczowski and lived in the area most of her life until moving to Massachusetts two years ago. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Bernice Malinowski; and by two brothers, Joseph Lenczowski and Frank Lenczowski. Mrs. Zakrzewski is survived by a daughter, Patricia J. (Daniel) Kiger of Wausau WI; a son, Walter J. (Rosemarie) Zakrzewski of Burlington MA; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandson; four sisters, Alice Marcinkowski, Harriet Jones, Josephine Miller, all of South Bend, and Stella Miller of Orlando FL; and by four brothers, Bernard Lenczowski and Steve Lenczowski, both of South Bend, John Lenczowski of Marion IN and Stanley Lenczowski of Mishawaka IN. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Lakeville IN Family & friends may call from 2 to 6pm Sunday in the St Joseph Funeral Home, 1827 E Ireland Road, where a Rosary will be recited at 5pm. Services will be at 10:340am Monday at St Jude Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Winchester Hospital Oncology Department, 41 Highland Avenue, Winchester MA 01890.
