MISHAWAKA -- Arthur A. Pawlowski, 84, of Mishawaka, died at 3:22 a.m. Tuesday (Nov. 2, 2010) at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka. He was born Sept. 13, 1926, in Mishawaka, to Walter and Felicia Pawlowski. On April 6, 1948, in Mishawaka, he married Lois A. Holmes. She survives along with one daughter, Pamela Pawlowski of Mishawaka; two sons, Gregory Pawlowski of Mooresville and Terrence (Dawn) Pawlowski of Naperville, Ill. Also surviving are three grandsons, Jonathon (Connie) Pawlowski, Christopher Powlowski and Michael Pawlowski. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother. Several cousins survive in Elkhart. Arthur graduated in 1944 from Mishawaka High School. He was a USMC veteran serving in World War II. He was an avid reader and enjoyed nature and bird watching. He retired as custodian from the Mishawaka school system, where he worked for 14 years. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
