smigielski's daughter, lillian. she found me from an inquiry i had put on
some message board somewhere. she told me her dad changed his name
to charles pine, and married in canada. are you interested in any of that
information?

ANTONI "ANTHONY" SMIGIELSKI AKA CHARLES ANTHONY PINE
One thing about Dad. He left home at a young age and joined American Army. He served with Pershing in Mexico, I believe 1915/1916. He was on burial detail. There were so many bodies they stacked and burned them. He couldnt stand it so deserted and went to Canada, changed his name to Charles Anthony Pine and joined Canadian Army. He met and married my mother there. (Lillian Pine, leeweb53@aol.com); m. *1916 in Canada to Therese E. Mulhill, who was b. *1899 in Canada to parents born in Canada, and immigrated to the United States of America in 1919; Charles is listed as a teamster in construction on the 1920 Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan census, living with his wife at 129 Lyman Place; Charles is listed as a cement finisher at a gas station on the 1930 Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan census, living with his wife and five children, renting his home for $19 a month; Anthony was living in Detroit, Michigan in Nov. 1944 when his brother Nicholas died; Anthony was living in Michigan in Aug. 1955 when his brother Frank died; children following
