MISHAWAKA - Eugenia A. Harley, 88, of Fountainview Place, Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2007, in Fountainview Place. Eugenia was born on July 31, 1919, in South Bend, to the late Theodore and Stella (Tobolski) Urbanski, and had resided in this area for most of her life. On February 6, 1940, she married Jack Harley, who preceded her in death on February 26, 2004. Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Emery and Dominic Urbanski. Eugenia is survived by her two sisters, Amata Lindell of Mishawaka and Renata (Jack) Maciejewski of South Bend; her daughter, Sherri (David) Richards of Panama City, FL; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; eight nieces and nephews, Janice (Bill) Ernsperger, Theo (John) Vawter, Kathleen (Michael) Hancz, Jill (Randy) Lindley, Robert Urbanski, James (Sue) Maciejewski, Richard (Mary) Maciejewski and Frank (Deb) Harley; and 21 great-nieces and great-nephews. Mrs. Harley worked for the Morris Collection Agency for many years before retiring in 1980. She was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus B.M. Catholic Church, South Bend, and was an avid sports fan. She especially loved the Chicago Cubs, Bears, and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. In her youth she played basketball for the Catholic Youth Organization. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Friday, August 31, 2007, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a parish Rosary will be recited at 4: 30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on September 1, 2007, in St. Stanislaus B.M. Catholic Church, with entombment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Stanislaus B.M. Catholic Church, 415 N. Brookfield St., South Bend, IN 46628.
