Wilma R. “Boots” Dudek, of Osceola, died Sunday January 4, 2015 at the Hearth at Juday Creek in Granger. The Valparaiso native was born June 3, 1925 to Roy & Bessie (Teeple) Berkey. On September 4, 1949, she married Delwin M. Dudek, who preceded her in death in 2008 after 58 years of marriage. Boots was retired and worked as a secretary for Adams & Westlake for over 20 years. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in South Bend for over 50 years. A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother & friend, Boots enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes and was known as a friendly and giving person who was always willing to help others. In addition to her husband, Boots was also preceded in death by her daughter, Jill Dudek. Survivors include her son, Terry Lee Dudek of Granger; grandchildren, Kimberly (Jack) Grund of Lowell, Derek Dudek of Lake Station, Brittany (Jamie) Vincent of Chesterton, Denise Dudek of Chesterton and Jenna Dudek of Granger; great-grandchildren, Jazmin, Kaeley & Jayden Grund; Jacob Dudek and Logan, Matt, Aleana & Bethany Vincent, and her sister, Iva McCann of Goshen. A Gathering of Friends & Family to celebrate the life of Wilma “Boots” Dudek will be held from 3:30pm - 7:30pm Friday January 9, 2015 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. Services will be held at 11:00 Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 805 S. 29th Street, where all are invited for a time of Fellowship from 10-11am, prior to services in the church. The family’s preferred memorials are Harbor Light Hospice, 1608 East Day Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545; Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 805 S. 29th Street, South Bend IN 46615 or The Salvation Army, 900 W.
