SOUTH BEND - Patricia Ann Durski, 79, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2009, in the Sanctuary at Holy Cross in South Bend. Patricia was born August 27, 1930, in South Bend, Indiana, to Walter and Virginia (Paris) Paholski. She retired from the Honeywell Corporation in 1983 after serving 32 years. On February 24, 1951, Patricia married Norman M. Durski, who survives. Also surviving are her daughter, Vickie (Michael) Gorzkiewicz of South Bend, Indiana; her son, Gregory (Patricia) Durski of Fort Worth, Texas; her mother, Virginia (Paris) Wallace of South Bend, Indiana; grandchildren, Derek Durski, one name ommited for privacy, Chad (Heather) and Corey Call; step-grandchildren, Evan (Londa), Matthew and Kelsey Gorzkiewicz; a great-granddaughter, Kaylin Durski; and a brother, Thomas (Marcia) Paholski of Lady Lake, Florida. Brothers, Eugene and Jerry Paholski, preceded her in death. Patricia enjoyed spending time with her family and going to the boat and the Lone Star Park horse racing track in Texas. The family would like to thank Dr. Bilal Ansari and his staff, the staff at the Sanctuary at Holy Cross, East Wing, and the staff of the 10th floor at Memorial Hospital. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 6, from 4-8 p.m. in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 7, at 11 a.m. in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, where friends may call one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society , 601 West Edison Road, Mishawka, IN 46545.
