Lucille Sikorski, 85, residing in Elkhart, formerly of South Bend, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Valley View Health Center, Elkhart. She was born November 3, 1925 in South Bend, a daughter of John & Agnes (Sopczynski) Sikorski. She spent much of her life in Chicago before returning to South Bend. Ms. Sikorski is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen & Lisa Heckman of South Bend, one grandson, Michael Heckman, five sisters, Annette (Ted) Noell of South Bend, Agnes (Claude) Mendel of Farmington Hills, MI; Margaret Janiak and Clara (Leonard) Niemier of South Bend; and Barbara Revell of Mishawaka; and a brother, Roman Sikorski also of South Bend. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Joan Boudreau, Florence Cornell, Rita Herdus, and brothers, Ted & Richard Sikorski. Memorial services will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, February 24, at the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend. Rev. David Evans will officiate.
